The Story
Matt Macosko has been in cannabis since the 1990s. As a medical marijuana provider in South Lake Tahoe under California’s Prop 215, he cooked cannabis for cancer and epilepsy patients and helped people set up grow rooms. When the court ordered police to return his confiscated marijuana, he smoked it in the police station parking lot.
He paid the price — nine months in jail, three years probation — all for a plant that’s now legal across most of the country. The judge called Prop 215 “a mess.” Matt told her: “I would like to go forward.”
He went forward. In 2001 he founded Divine Tribe, starting with hemp clothing imports and four trips to China. By 2013 he pivoted into vaporizers — the V2.5, V4, V5, SIC Quest, Core 2.0, and now the Ruby Twist Ball Vape. Today Divine Tribe has 13,000+ members on Reddit and thousands more on Discord.
Marijuana Union is his independent news platform. No corporate sponsors. No agenda. Just cannabis news from someone who’s been in the game for 25 years.
